OUR MINISTRIES & MEETINGS

Apart from our weekly services, we are actively involved in ministry, both collectively and individually.

Our services are held most Saturdays at 2.00 pm at the Mt Eden Senior Citizens Club Hall, on the corner of Brixton Road and Dominion Road, Balmoral.  Once a month (the first Sunday of the month) we have our service online via Zoom. The hall we meet in is located at the northern end of the Mt Eden War Memorial Hall, opposite Potters Park (see the map on the contact page). There is usually plenty of parking available on Brixton Road, or in a free car park just behind the hall (accessed from Brixton Road). Services generally last about 90 minutes. We begin with a few hymns, and perhaps a brief item or address from one or two members, another hymn or two, followed by the main message of the day - a sermon of about 30 to 45 minutes in length. Afternoon tea is served right after each service, and plenty of stimulating fellowship ensues!

We are delighted to welcome visitors to any of our services. If you are in Auckland, please feel free to join us anytime!

From time to time, circumstances may cause us to temporarily change the service time, move to another hall, or perhaps cancel a service. Please feel free to ring the pastor at his contact number to confirm the time and place of services on any specific weekend.

Our events page has more information on upcoming meetings.

prayer

Each of our services has a time for intercessory prayer, where the needs of others are brought before God.  We also have times for more private prayer support. If you have something you wish us to collectively pray about, please let us know.

community service

Our congregation are regularly involved in work in their own local communities and support a number of charities and services.

bible studies and training

We study the Bible at each meeting, and also the opportunity for workshop training at annual retreats and conferences. Additional, flexible, study is made available through Ambassador College of Christian Ministry.  Offering a quality, structured programme, ACCM's range of courses provide mature, doctrinaly sound training as the foundation for Christian ministry.

music

As a small congregation, we have a mixture of live music and pre-recorded songs.  We love both old hymns and upbeat modern songs.

We enjoy giving visitors the opportunity to contribute Special Music. If you would like to join our music team, please contact Rex Morgan, who will put you in touch with Lianne Trevarthen, our Worship Co-ordinator.

Our national magazine, Inside Life, is edited by Rex Morgan, our pastor. It is distributed free of charge, and is also made available online.

Many of our members contribute articles and insight that is used in the magazine.  The magazine is written primarily as an outreach for the unchurched and to revive belief in those who have little church contact. The Auckland congregation also hand-delivers the magazine to households around our meeting place, and in other parts of the city.

We are grateful for the contributions that make the continued publication of the magazine possible. Visit the Inside Life website for current and past issues. Inside Life also has a Facebook page where you can leave feedback.
