Communion on the Moon

Did you know about this significant event that occurred right before Neil Armstrong's first steps on the Moon?

We are all familiar with Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon and his statement, “That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” But did you know a similar significant event occurred right before this quote? As he was leaving the Lunar Module, Buzz Aldrin made this public announcement. “This is the LM pilot. I'd like to take this opportunity to ask every person listening in, whoever and wherever they may be, to pause for a moment and contemplate the events of the past few hours and to give thanks in his or her own way.”
